JOY : noun \ ˈjȯi \
: a source or cause of delight
Can anyone testify that Bernard Gilkey was actually a joy to watch? I never saw him play.
Batting average .275
Home runs 118
Runs batted in 546
St. Louis Cardinals (1990–1995)
New York Mets (1996–1998)
Arizona Diamondbacks (1998–2000)
Boston Red Sox (2000)
Atlanta Braves (2001)
I remember him back in the day... but not 100% sure I saw him play in person. But I probably went to 20 to 30 games at Candlestick back in the 90's, so there's a chance I saw him play. If I did... can't say it was a joy or not though.
